Our Caregivers

Only a small percentage of our applicants are accepted to join the Thrive at Home team. A great deal of time and effort is spent selecting well-trained, experienced, attentive and compassionate caregivers. This is the primary reason Thrive at Home makes in-home care a viable and desirable way to receive care.

Our caregivers are selected for their tender touch and a listening ear. Our caregivers will give your loved ones the feeling of being well-cared for and supported.

Our selection process begins by investigating employee credentials. All caregivers must have a minimum of two years of experience and pass our comprehensive screening and testing process which includes: criminal background check, driving record check, sex offender check, worker eligibility, license, and training verification, professional reference check, skills testing, and tuberculosis testing. Once hired, the caregivers continue to receive regular training to ensure they deliver the highest level of care.

Our caregivers are supervised by an experienced Registered Nurse who will be conducting periodic quality assurance visits to your home. In addition, clients and caregivers are regularly contacted by our Client Care Specialist to ensure satisfaction.

All of the caregivers are employed by Thrive at Home and meet the Virginia state licensing requirements. They are fully insured, bonded, and covered by Worker’s Compensation Insurance.
